Philately and Microbiology. Book by Juan José Borrego

In the resources section we have included a download link of the book “Book “A Vision of Microbiology through Postage Stamps: Its Semiotics and Iconography” written by our colleague Juan José Borrego.

The book introduces us to the world of philately from the most basic, describing what a postage stamp is, to the most advanced aspects such as study methodology and philatelic taxonomy. In its pages we find how the historical milestones of Microbiology, or the fight against infectious diseases, were described in small allegorical images used to illustrate the stamps.
