Descripción:  Rhizomorphs of Armillaria sp. formed in PDA medium. Armillaria is a worldwide distributed basidiomycete which affects hundreds of species of fruit and forest trees, among other plants. It forms rhizomorphs, cord-like threats of mycelium that can spread through the soil, girdle the roots and develop under the bark, causing root rot and even the die of the trees.
