Descripción: A deep crater in agar caused by the intense agarolytic activity of the Tenacibaculum jejuense type strain. Tenacibaculum species occur in a variety of marine environments. Some of them thrive at the surface of macroalgae thanks to an array of enzymes that are able to degrade the many complex polysaccharides of algal cell walls.
